Sister Domitilla Mental Health Grant
This grant is named in honor of Reverend Sister Domitilla, an extraordinary Catholic nun who has known our founder since the age of four and has had a profound impact on his spiritual growth. In recognition of the critical yet often overlooked importance of mental health in fostering healthy, resilient communities, the Sangu Delle Foundation Sister Domitilla Mental Health Grant is dedicated to supporting innovative projects and organizations that are committed to improving mental health care, raising awareness, and destigmatizing mental health issues in Ghana, starting with Nandom.
The Mental Health Grant seeks to empower mental health professionals, non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, and community leaders who are pioneering efforts to address mental health challenges. Our aim is to support initiatives that provide accessible, effective, and compassionate mental health services, as well as those that educate the public, advocate for policy change, and promote mental well-being at the community level.
We invite grant applications from a range of mental health-focused endeavors, including but not limited to, counseling services, mental health education programs, community outreach, and research. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a clear commitment to making a tangible impact on mental health outcomes, an innovative approach to addressing mental health needs, and a sustainable plan for their initiative’s future.
Mental health is deeply personal to our Founder. By providing financial assistance through the Mental Health Grant, the Sangu Delle Foundation hopes to catalyze meaningful progress in the mental health sector of Ghana. We believe in the power of awareness, education, and support to transform attitudes toward mental health, break down barriers to care, and build a foundation for healthier, more supportive communities. Together, we can foster a society where mental health is prioritized, stigma is eradicated, and all individuals have the opportunity to thrive mentally and emotionally.
